Curran Group

Curran Group was formed in the mid-80s, mainly to streamline and more effectively manage the diversified industrial companies which either had been or were being acquired under the Curran Contracting Company identity.

As examples:
 

In 1974 the company acquired Chicago Heights-based Holland Company, a manufacturer of highly specialized railroad welding equipment and rail car components, including product protection systems, and chain and load securement systems. In late 1985 and early 1986, Curran Group started  Crossville Porcelain Stone/ USA, which is based in Crossville, TN, and with an affiliated plant in Dixon, TN. In 1998, Curran Group acquired JBI, a manufacturer of custom designed industrial spray booths, powder booths, ovens, dust control and collection systems, safety lifts, aerial work platforms, and finishing systems for the  automotive, military and aircraft markets. While subsequent acquisitions have come and gone, today Curran Group represents no less than four distinct and autonomous business operations employing in excess of 1200 people.
